TAIPEI (XFN-ASIA) - Share prices closed modestly higher as sentiment was bolstered by reports that China President Hu Jintao said that Beijing and Taipei should restore consultation and talks on the basis of "the 1992 consensus," by which both sides recognize there is only one China but agree to differ on its definition.
